Introduction to CCIE Routing and Switching
The CCIE Routing and Switching is a certification that is authorized by Cisco Systems. The CCIE RNS is one of the seven dynamic CCIE tracks. This certification is the most popular among all the CCIE tracks. As of 3rd May, 2010, it is occupying 85% of CCIEs worldwide. Being a popular and quality maintained certification program, it certifies the knowledge and skills of an expert level of network engineer who are expert in planning, operating and troubleshooting complex, converging network infrastructure.
Prerequisites for CCIE RNS
However, there are no solemn prerequisites attempt and strive the CCIE routing & switching. But according to strong recommendations of Cisco one must have in-depth understanding and an experience of three to five years to attempt the exam. It also takes a time of 12 to 18 months and several thousand dollars preparing for CCIE RNS.
